Random video noise from new BD1250.

The manual claims this is caused by a TV not supporting HDCP but I have a fairly new Sony Bravia(<~6-7 months), which I'm pretty sure supports something that's been around for a while like HDCP.

It's sort of like horizontal digital artifacting, the kind that looks like large pixels, I'm sure you know what I mean.

I was going to try updating the firmware(not sure what version it's at off the top of my head, but it doesn't have Blackbuster or Youtube support, which I think is added in firmware) when I stumbled upon all the bricking nonsense, the latest ones on their site probably work(BEv2.07_090923_HTBD12XX_XAA.iso), but I'm not stepping out on that ledge without actually knowing.

So I was hoping someone might have some suggestions, thank you in advance.

I'm sorry to bump this, but I don't know what to do.

It could be as something as simple as the cable. If the television has HDMI, it has HDCP.

As far as updating, let me see what the progress is. If you do decide to update between now and then, I'd suggest using the CD method, but if you can wait, I'll see what our experts are hearing.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
