Question

Random automatic screenshots

Hi all,
I need your help and am concerned about my security. When I am browsing in line, it seems that there are times when my computer is taking screenshots without me doing anything. Is this a new virus? or a setting that I accidentally turned on? I am very concerned about this. I am on windows 10. The browser is chrome, and I have AVG free version virus protection. I scanned my computer manually, although I have it scheduled to scan once a day, but it is still doing it. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Kurt

Answer
automatic screenshots

The problem you have shared is serious, the automatic screen capture option when not actively from the user is dangerous, perhaps this is a new form of virus or hackers have entered the computer. Your personality to follow you, however, this action should also be shared so people need to pay attention

IE Explorer and random Screenshots

I don't know if this is the same problem, but here is a post I made in another site a little while ago:

"I'm not really sure if this is screenshots or something else, but here's what's happening... I am browsing with IE in Win 10, with several tabs open (windowed, not full screen). At random intervals (sometimes when I click on a link anywhere on the page, but sometimes when I am not doing anything but looking at the page), the screen freezes momentarily and a magnified view of the page I was viewing appears in place of what was previously displayed in that tab, and appears to be a still screen shot of what I was just looking at, sometimes it looks like a screenshot of my entire screen including icons etc around the IE window I was just viewing, displayed in the IE window... After a time (anywhere from 5 seconds to several minutes) this "screenshot" disappears and the original view is restored. Sometimes this happens only once during a browsing session, and sometimes it happens so frequently that it makes web browsing almost impossible. And it does not seem to be related to any particular type of site or link. This is both very annoying and very disturbing since it could be malware that is capturing and sending out random screenshots of my system to some hacker. I don't know if this happens outside IE, but it is while using IE that I can see it happening. I have searched the internet for a clue to this behavior, but have found little of relevance. "
