The place that I buy all my Mac stuff is called otherworldcomputing.com
I just ordered a Ram Upgrade of 2 Gigs for my Mac Mini. It will be here Friday. The site is really good. There are video's on how to install most everything (in the Tech Center), and the prices are pretty good. Check them out and see what you think. I hope I was of help.
I have a 15" powerbook G4 with 256 MB RAM. I would like to upgrade to more ram. Possibly 2 GB. I went online to the mac store and RAM pricing seemed quite expensive. When I researched other apple resellers, I got really overwhelmed with all the different brands and prices. I am not sure where I can get more RAM for the best price, nor am I aware as to how to best get it installed properly. I'm not as mac savy as I'd like and I have the following questions:
- Is it possible to have 2 GB on my laptop (I went to the mac store online and they only offered 1 GB)?
- If I don't go to the mac store, where else can I buy more memory for the best price?
- As there are obviously different types of manufacturers, is there any you would recommend?
- Are there any other specifications I should be aware of when buying memory for my mac?
- And, once I get more ram, how do I install it?
Please help.
