ram not recognised

hi I have a Toshiba satellite 2590CDT with 64 mg ram standard
I just purchased anther 128 mg but when I install it it is not recognised. it is Ktt 8000/128. It is the right one according to the Toshiba web sight.
I think this is a common problem, if some one can help it would be appreciated (the os is win98se I have already updated the bios but still no go)

Try swapping slots with the chips. Wow that must be a real oldie 64mb, geez. If it is the correct memory you may have to lead with the bigger chip, have had that happen on occasion.
