I have old computer that uses sdram. it has 128 sdram and i want to upgrade it. well i want to know if theres a difference between ddr sdram and just sdram. is ddr sdram compatible with sdram?

Not compatible. The units will not interchange. The difference is single density and double density, and the slots are made different.

Also you can download a free program called Belarc. Go to www.belarc.com and download the free version. It will tell you everything about your computer and what slots have what without even taking the cover off.

it may not be the best RAM out there, it will just work with your system's BIOS/mobo without problems

for performance users, you should know what is best
for novice users, i would use crucial.com

If you like to up upgrade from 128 is ok to go up to
256, no there is no difference between ddr sdram and sdram.... the only thing that you need to look at is what type of sdram you going to buy.

If you have time stop into cmputer shop and talk to computer tech in your area.
