RAM compatibility

by penti01 / August 13, 2007 7:50 PM PDT

I currently have an Intel D915GAV mobo (link below), I'm just not sure if it only supports DDR400/333 or also DDR2 667/533 can someone check it out for me?

Also, out of curiosity, what happens when you both have different RAMs in one mobo (like 1GB DDR 400 and 1GB DDR2 6670?

thanks

It clearly states what RAM it takes and by ommission what it doesn't take.

you want to play....plug ddr2 into the machine and test.

If it was me I'd just go to Crucial and get what they say fits.

They don't seem to show ddr2.

I have used CPUZ, and that led me to post here... the site had said DDR2, and I'm using DDR400, and I wondered why I chose this when I got it years ago... it's good to have it cleared up...

thanks...
