Hi,

What Operating System are you running and is it 32bit or 64bit?

As a general rule a 32bit OS runs best with 3 or 4 Gig of Ram. It can use between 3.4 & 3.6 Gig and the balance can be used by the GPU.

64bit OS needs generally a minimum of 4 Gig of ram but 8 gig is better especially if it is Win 10.

Matched pair are best. ie Same brand & model numbers.

Your CPU can address 16 Gig of RAM so it probably would run it but 8 Gig is enough generally for Windows 10.

a 64 bit processor and with a max of 16 GB of RAM. But that doesn't mean that Samsung designed it for 16 gb. I wouldn't put money into that system as you can get a newer 300 to 500 dollar laptop that would be faster than anything you can do to that laptop.
