As to why things are not the same from machine to machine, that's how it is. Maybe someone will write a longer reason?
Hey everyone. I had a Dell Inspirion E1505 for a while, and the sound got pretty loud with that one using headphones. I have since upgraded to a Dell Studio XPS 9000, and the sound doesn't get nearly as loud. I have all the system volume on max, and the software I use for music is Zune, and that's at max too. I don't understand why a laptop could get louder than a full desktop using the same headphones. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, no suggestions about using AC powered speakers as I've seen all over the internet. I have those already, but want to get the audio in my headphones louder. Thanks.
