(it will probably say Urge just to the right if sync) in the pull down menu select media guide and to the right there will be a link for internet radio. From there you will be able to select by genre or do a search.

I don't know password to continue installing URGE. Is there another way to find a search option for internet radio? I want some yodeling western music and some synthesizer music and I haven't found either on the genres.

1.) Is that a password to actually install URGE or a password to access the service. You said the former but hinted at the latter. (If it is indeed the former, are you a system administrator or standard user?)

2.) Most of the internet radio stations require you to purchase a subscription to URGE. Have you done so?

3.) URGE is being shut down and customers transferred over to Rhapsody under a new agreement with Microsoft. Just a tip for the future.

A small window appears that says this -A PROGRAM NEEDS YOUR PERMISSION TO CONTINUE. Type in an administrater password to continue.
That makes me think I'm an administrator but when i go to contol panel, accounts, it says standard user. If I get the password from my nephew this problem would probably stop. However isn't there a way to get the password direct from this computer in case its forgotten? i see there is a place in control panel, accounts to change it but I don't want to do that. Also on my computer with windows 98 I don't need to purchase radio stations and there is a search function. Also I don't know the difference between using the password to actually installing URGE or to access the service. Do you know how i could get synthesizer or yodeling music without a search function? I guess I might have to try the Yahoo or google search. Thanks

Password to continue...

* You need to use an administrative account to proceed, which you'll evidently need to get from your nephew as you surmised.

* In earlier versions of Windows it was quite easy to recover a 'lost' password, but now you're looking at purchasing a $100+ program to do so. (Better security comes with greater risks.)

* Windows needs the password of an administrative user to install the program. That's a Windows security precaution to prevent 'standard users' from installing potentially dangerous software on the computer. The password to access the service is for a subscription, which you'd have to purchase. (Like a subscription to a monthly magazine.) You can install URGE but it will offer you little unless you pay for the service.

* If URGE isn't an immediate option (and remember, URGE is being replaced), searching through Yahoo or Google is another. However, be careful to avoid pirated (stolen/illegal) and potentially dangerous content. URGE is an actual music service with direct access to radio stations and CD tracks while a general web search just finds websites which may or may not contain what you're looking for.
