So apparently what I thought was the power supply unit turned out to just be the socket. I see the big beige board in the middle is the hole power supply. I am currently trying to find a capacitor tester locally but not having so much luck. I have a multi meter but don't think I can test capacitors with it... I noticed a little burning on the metal that the power supply board was bolted to. It came from one of the smaller yellow transformers.. Could this be the problem? Can anyone explain a way I can trace down where the power stops on the power board with a multi meter?
Hey I have a Samsung R4272C 42" Plasma and I cannot get it to power on. I have tested the power supply and its working fine. There is power at the main board. I have the hole unit apart right now if anyone can tell me about common problems or common capacitors that blow that would be appreciated. I don't know how to text capacitors with my multi meter but Im going to look it up now.
