The latest BETA version of our Proactive Threat Mitigation application called Qwik-Fix? is now available for immediate download and review.
Qwik-Fix? is a platform that allows end-users to apply our constantly released fixes, and acts as a mediator for all the threat mitigations we discover as part of our ongoing high-level vulnerability research. Whenever new threats are uncovered in Windows, or pathways that allow worm and virus writers to create exploits are identified , we create a targeted counteraction and automatically distribute this small fix to all of our Qwik-Fix? users so that they are safe from the threat. Further, we are releasing several fixes for Qwik-Fix? that proactively secure end-users from future threats by disabling the specific features and/or obscurities in Windows that our security research has demonstrated are prone to threats.
In addition to a completely revamped user-interface, installation and updating process, this latest version of Qwik-Fix? also protects against ALL currently known command execution vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer without restricting your every day web experience. In fact, we installed a fresh Windows XP without any security patches or service packs, applied Qwik-Fix and were immediately protected against even the latest exploits released by jelmer, Liu Die Yu and http-equiv.
