Question

Quiet but powerful laptop

Jul 16, 2017 8:52AM PDT

Hi, with budget up to 1100$ I look for a very quiet 14" or 15,6" laptop with i7 (or i5) and SSD. Will be very thankful for all your tips.

Answer
For quiet

You'll have to stay away from classic laptops and consider the Microsoft Surface models.

To me the usual laptop fan is quiet but when folk say quiet I take it they want even quieter which pushes us into the Surface models.

I want a normal laptop not surface, but the one on which I can play CS:GO or some better (with cooling pad if needed) and when I am on YouTube it's just quiet.

PS. Fan noise on my ROG

Is not totally silent. For silent I do not know of ANY gamer laptop that is fanless or silent.
The ROG does reduce the fan when under light load but it never stops. There are folk this is unacceptable and they will have to wait until such a machine arrives.
