Soundcard and Computer speaker compatibility...
Jul 5, 2005 4:03PM PDT

Hello,

You should have no problems with the soundcard and speakers. These speakers, as do most, come with all the wires for connecting everything.

However, I have already purchased this speaker set as a review for my "How To Build A Home Theater PC" ebook and would highly recommend purchasing a different speaker setup. The subwoofer is less then par and the satellite speakers are just as bad.

You could purchase these to sharpen your teeth on, but ultimately you will be looking for something else. I would highly recommend Creative, Klipsch or Altec Lansing. You will be much happier and spending your money wisely.

Hope this helps.

Labtec Arena 685 5.1 speakers
Jul 6, 2005 3:44PM PDT

Hello,

We have not reviewed and tested this set of speakers, but my thought would be that these speakers will have a nice sound to them and probably a low to medium grade subwoofer. Labtec has been around for a long time and have been known for producing nice quality speakers at a reasonable price.

This should be a nice entry level speaker setup for you. The subwoofer will not provide the boom that you may want eventually, but I think you will feel you got your moneys worth out of them.

Hope this helps.

Any other questions, let me know.

Take care,
