General discussion

questions to past creative or sansa player owners.

Well im in the hunt for a new mp3 player and ive narrowed my searches down to the creative zen or sansa view and i just had a couple questions to past sansa/creative owners.

hows the sound quality on the sansa?
How do you *** your music/ videos to either player...ive only had an ipod and have used itunes which makes it very easy...i was wondering what media player you used to edit the id3 tags and album art?
Does anyone know the video formats that either support?

No issues with the sound quality on mine. It's been over a year of constant use. Battery life remains good. Software is not the most flexible.

You can try using MediaMonkey

it's pretty popular to edit tags
also both the Zen and View should be able to play mpeg, wmv, and Avi, with the sansa maybe having official DivX support (though it wouldn't mean much)

For the creative you can either use their easy-peasy software, or you can simply drag and drop from one folder to another. Creative essentially supports most media formats, and if not it has a converter you can use or if all else fails, the divx converter is the best. I download all of my movies and tv shows from veoh or from sharespace sites where people have uploaded tv shows and these work just fine on my Vision M. Hope this helps!
