I want to get a new laptop with vista preinstalled on it.I want to know what are the good and bad things about it.I am also wondering if games that run on Xp run on vista , because i got some games that I don't want to lose.

Some do.
Some don't.
Some do in compatibility mode.

Gaming on Vista (even more so on laptops) may be pricey. You'll want 2GB RAM, dual core CPUs and 256MB dedicated memory video 3D chipsets.

As to the games, you'll have to research if they are known to work on Vista.

I thought about what you said and decided to buy a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ190 with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2GB of Ram and a NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT with Windows Vista Home Premium.I found a list of compatible games with Vista and fortunately most of my games should work.Thank you for all the help and suggestions.
