I will probably upset you by not telling you why it's a dead end.
So why not a powerline WiFi that's in the top 10 at Amazon. Here's the top sellers then my pick then what we have to know.

3. Powerline networking basics are on the web. For best results the pair have to be on the same side of the usual home power grid. It is a TRIVIAL THING to fix for an electrician. Here's an article about this.

Hi, I have a big house and my bedroom is located pretty far from my pc any from my WiFi router what causes of bad WiFi signal in my room. Problem which even a WiFi extender doesn't solve well enough.
I heard about powerline and really liked the idea.
I've got two questions. One is subjective and the other is objective.
The first one is what do you guys think of powerline, how good the signal and the speeds you get by using this sort of product?
The second one is a technical question. I want to spread a wireless WiFi in my room, but I also have a smart TV in my room which I'd like to "feed" directly with an internet cable.
So first of all:
1. Can I spread WiFi with a simple router at the end or do I need to get this powerline wifi product that was talked about here?
2. Secondly, how should I split it from the adapter in my room in order to get both WiFi in my room and a cable to my TV? Obviously two adapters for each use will work but what else? Can I use some kind of splitter at the adapter output? (like this one http://m.ebay.com/itm/201259595658?nav=SEARCH) .
Or maybe I could connect the adapter to a router to spread WiFi and then connect another cable from that router directly to my TV?
I thank you all so much!
