I was thinking about this same thing.

I wanted to use it mainly for internet, so how good is it with that?

That's my baby...

After comparing the X30 High and the X50v, I decided that my baby wasn't going anywhere. While it will not be receiving an upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0, it's still as powerful as it's younger cousin.

The X30 High's external antenna helps maintain a connection, while the internal antennas of the X50s and some other PDAs lets the signal start to fade. From my experience, being within 200 yards provides a very good signal, but I can usually still pick it up (though weak) from around 400 yards (outside and relatively unobstructed). And, after watching it best a few new iPaqs while walking through a mall (which provides WiFi), I'd have to say my baby still has some life left in it. Happy

As far as playing movies, the only one I've seen top the X30 high is the X50v, which features a 3.7" VGA screen and an Intel graphics accelerator...unbelievable! However, the X30 High still handles itself nicely, and is comparable to the iPaq hx4705 which has a 4" screen (compared to the X30's 3.5") to give it a slight edge.

Hope this helps,
John
