Question regarding page on friend's website i'm working on

Nov 19, 2005 5:01AM PST

Could someone please tell me how i can fix this page, please? To me it looks real yuck! The first two rows (Date & EVent Name) appears squished and some other rows are just too long & big.
Someone else sent me the table and i've been trying to work with it but i can't seem to make it LOOK better. I really hope i don't have to stat all over again!
HELP!!!!

First 2 Rows look no different in FireFox

I can see it in IE, so.

I ran the page through the validator and it showed over 700 errors - fix those first and see if your problem persists.

And get rid of the scrolling chicken and center the header, etc. above the table.

Will work on fixing the errors! Thank you. Sure hope that will help.

Why get rid of the dancing chicken? My friend (whom i'm doing this webby for) wants to keep the dancing chicken on the page.

Just a personal preference - too much movement on websites just does not seem very professional but amateurish.

Just because one can does not mean one should.

But, like I said, it's personal preference.

There TONS of errors. Seem i was better off doing the table myself rather than accepting someone else's!! Perhaps i'm better off starting all over again?
I'm using Dreamweaver MX

I think the table was build in MS Word

and MS Word is the worst -or at least one of the worst- programs one can use to build webpages.

I agree - you'll probably be better off starting over than doing clean up -either way, it'll keep you busy for a while.
