Question regarding my HP Pavilion a420n

I am running Windows XP on pc. Real quick question how can I know if the modem I have in the PC is wireless? The modem I have in my PC at this time is Description: Agere Win modem
Device Type: Intenal Modem
Network Adapter Type:Ethernet802.3
Product Type VIA Rhine ll Fast ehternet Adapter

This (Agere Win modem
) is a 56K dial up modem. It appears that you also have an ethernet card as well (Network Adapter Type:Ethernet802.3
Product Type VIA Rhine ll Fast ehternet Adapter)
but neither is wireless. If you are not the master PC on a wireless network you will need a wireless card.

Since I am trying to use home networking DSL people are trying to tell me I can use a bridge without a wireless modem. Cab I?

You can go wired or wireless. I went wireless because of the location of my second PC.
