There is another connection manager in use. For instance some Linksys and other cards use their own manager. Windows has one and it may not notice such if there is another in use.

On my sister's computer, there is number showing the number of packets sent and the number of packets received in the Windows Wireless Connection Status. On my home computer, there is only a number of packets received and 0 packets sent, but I am still able to connect to my router.
Is there something wrong in the way I set up my connection?
