I'm sure this is probably a dumb question cause I've come up to a conclusion myself, but thought I'd ask without completely dismissing the whole thing. And it may have been asked already so bear with me. I'm wondering about these "Discount Software stores" you see advertised on website banners (even on very legitimate popular sites you see these banners) or recieve them in your junk mail. The Junk Mail ones I ignore cause whoever wrote it obviously couldn't speak English very well because there were way too many typos in commonly used words and the prices seemed outrageously fake, like $50 for Windows XP, $80 for Office 2003, but $150 for Office XP (the older Office app), and they seem to be linked to some unsecure website in some other country (major hint to being a fake storefront there).
But what about the ones on the ad banners? Are there any legitimate places? Anyone tried it with success? Or are they all fake?
