Copying files reduces available space and deleting files releases that space to be rewritten to. As I understand it, there is a limit to the write/rewrite ability of these but it's not a fixed number of times. The same goes for floppy media and CDR-W media. Use the flash drive for it's features but not as an archiving tool.
Does anyone know if USB 2.0 Flash Drive eat up storage space (decreasing it when you transfer or delete files)? I know that an SD flash memory card does that but I'm planning to get a USB flash drive. Thanks.
