Question on buying Camcorder for video and pics.

Mar 19, 2005 5:50AM PST

I'm looking to move up from my Sony tvr140. I need a DV camcorder to take video and also fairly good quality pictures. I also need av pass through to digital and small size would be nice.
I have looked at the Canon Optura 30 and it looks like a good cam for my needs. Are there any others you can list that wouls also fill my needs. Price is has to fit into the mix as with everything. Thanks for any help!

Try looking at the JVC GRD93US. It has 1/4 inch CCD and shoots nice video and nice pics....for a camcorder.
Also works better than most in low light.

Thank you! This is the camcorder I've been looking at to buy. Costco has this one & a Panasonic GS16, both for under $400. From what I've read, this JVC works better in low light.
