It matters.
With your DOS based OS you can only "see" one primary partition.
Upgrade to any version of NT and you can "see" and use up to 4 primary partitions per physical drive.
I am considering creating a second bootable partition on a single physical drive thru Partition Magic (done it before) -- but I have a question which seems like it should obvious, but I just don't know:
Can you transfer files between two primary partitions? Or are the contents of each completely invisible to the other?
If it matters, I'm running Win98SE.
