Question of sound

Dec 6, 2003 9:53AM PST

Forumsters,i've just purchased a dvd rw to install in my pc.However,as my current dvd rom is attached to my soundcard,i was wondering where the dvd rw sound cable goes?My question,if i hook it up to my mobo,do i have to enable the mobo sound or is it routed to my soundcard?I'd rather not activate the mobo audio if i don't have to.Any suggestions welcome.Thanks.

The analog cable is only needed when you play some CD Audio in analog mode. DVD's will play fine.

I'd not hook this up for now.
