If you're talking about expanding the Start, Programs listing, I also know how to fix it.

Click Start, Settings, Taskbar and Start Menu. Click the Start Menu tab. Click Customize. Uncheck the option to Use personalized Menus.

Good luck,

The article [Q230596] explains that Personalized Menus are turned on by default in Windows -- a function which tracks items used and hides items used less often but they can be reached by clicking the chevron or >> at the bottom. Users may also turn the function off (Start, Settings, Taskbar & Start Menu, General tab, clear the Use Personalized Menus check box, and then either click OK or press Enter).

Thank you
It seems to have tweaked a couple of peoples tails by saying you are clued up, Ah well jealousy is not a comendable failing
Sorry I have misled you but the chevrons to which i am refering , are the ones on the pull down menus on the tools bars at the top of the page.
The option to have full menu showing is somewhere in settings etc. but darned if i can remember where.

I'm sorry if that article did not cover the specific item(s) you're used to -- but for the life of me -- I cannot determine where you're describing this "pull down menus on the tools bars at the top of the page". I thought it concerned IE Favorites which the article covered but guess not. Can you please elaborate and give the program name and version?

Yes in particularly in Outlook Favorites
It has stopped opening in full and opens 6 items then a double chevron which if you click opens the full menu.

...simply making the Outlook window larger. Most of the "chevron" markers are placed because there isn't sufficient space to display all of the icons. Frequently, "dragging" the edges of the OUtlook window higher, and wider, will allow the icons to be displayed correctly in the taskbar.

Hope this helps.
