When Mary posted her modalert requesting that the THREAD be deleted due to copyright issues, she included the link to the original post in that modalert. After reading THAT post and seeing that IT only contained a LINK, it was determined that no copyright issue was involved.....she had followed the rules in THAT post.
There wasn't a knee-jerk reaction, J, to a poster....in fact, I also had decided that there wasn't a copyright issue and ignored the request to pull the thread based on that original modalert.
It wasn't until three posts further down that the copyright issue came into play where Mary actually posted the whole article....believing that she was free to do so because of the wording at the site, not realizing at first that the wording specifically said "feel free to leave a LINK" (my words).
Actually, the deletion should have started at THAT post and any following it, rather than the ORIGINAL and include the whole thread.
Question, Dave K., relating to copyright. Did you read the entire short thread before you posted saying that a certain poster was "ridiculous" for pointing out something legal, or did you just automatically respond to that name in a contradictory manner?
Note to late risers: That thread suddenly went away.
