Limewire ALWAYS stops aero, but only while you have Limewire open. It goes back to aero as soon as you close limewire...and don't leave Limewire on when you finish downloading as it is still open and uploading thereby slowing your computer and exposing ALL your software and files.
I strongly suggest you dump Limewire as it it used mostly for illegal downloads/uploads and can infest your computer with malware.
Please...can you afford 99c a copy for tunes at a legitmate site?
Good luck and ignore "free music etc" for your own good.

Limewire is bad!!!
Mar 11, 2007 3:21AM PDT

My grandson thought he was really cool doing illegal downloads of music and what ever else he was doing with Limewire.
It screwed his computer up so bad I ended up formatting the hard drive and re-installing Windows XP as that was the only fix.
I also installed a router and blocked access to Limewire and My Space as that site was also filling the computer up with malware. Now he has no trouble at all.
He is a little unhappy, but it is saving his parents a lot of grief.
Limewire should be avoided, in fact outlawed and shut down.

The problem is...

Limewire itself, unlike many other P2P applications, may be free from malware, but that says nothing about the connection you create with it. Anything you download could potentially be infected by a virus, worm, trojan, dialer, keylogger, etc. In addition, the direct connection greatly increases the chances of another individual accessing your computer outside of the set parameters. (Snooping through your personal files, for instance.) Thus, the spyware-free emblem should not be much of a comforting sign.
