This model has it all except the fact it has shared (integrated) video memory. If you don't play games or use higher end video programs like Autocad it is ok but you can never upgrade it. If you want to do something later that the notebook shared video cannot handle you are stuck.
The Toshiba M35S456 has everything your model above has and it also has 64mb dedicated video. Note that dedicated video is separate while shared (integrated video) not only does not work as well but it uses your system RAM. Thus, if you have 512mb RAM you really only have 512-48= 464mb available to you.
This model retails at $1999 (and also has the outstanding new Trubrite LCD (similar to Xbrite) but it can be had on sale if you watch for as low as $1799 after rebates. It also has a 15.4" widescreen instead of the 15" square LCD and weighs 6.2 pounds.
Also, the Compaq X1000 series I have or the HPZT3000 (see X1000forums.com) is very similar to the Toshiba M35 (15.4" LCD) and you can fully customize it online and come out less than your $1500 price ($100 custom order rebate, 6% APP student rebate, etc).
So, decide whether you are willing to forego dedicated video RAM first and then decide. If you are not then look at one of the models above or the Acer 2025. See Cnet for editor reviews and consumer reviews on these models.
