Question

Question about software

Jul 21, 2014 1:33AM PDT

I have, recently, purchased atleast two software programs, before I knew that each was "booby-trapped".

The first is my desktop computer, programmed with Windows 7. What I did not know, until AFTER purchase, was that Microsoft "booby-traps" its software, with "security verification" codes. Since I have NO home, internet connection, it is impossible for me to "validate" my software. As a result, Microsoft has programmed its software to deny me 95% access to my own property.

Second, I have purchased, and now returned, the software titled "Any Time Calendar version 14", on CD. I purchased, on CD, to load onto my home computer, but the software company has "Booby-trapped" this software, as well, so that it refuses to "load"/"run", until I contact the company, via the internet, to "authenticate the software. I consider this to be "booby-trapped", as well.

As a result, I ask if anyone can suggest an accessable calendar program, for my use. One which is NOT "booby-trapped"? I need a calendar, which I can use, on my home computer, and use without the requirement of internet access?

Is this possible????

I can just see you, sitting outside the local McDonald's, engine running, desktop on seat beside you, and monitor propped against it, keyboard and mouse on your dash or lap, while it's plugged into your 400 watt walmart invertor, your USB wifi plugged in, trying to get your software activated or validated. This wonderful moment brought to you by Microsoft, Product Key, Activation, and Genuine Advantage.

Instead you could have gone this route with no activation, no internet needed, lower cost. You'd not even need the internet for extra software either if you had your own repository of 70GB of programs on 17 DVD's to choose extra software programs from, both 32 bit and 64 bit depending on which system you were running. All for under $40. When you're tired of being treated like a criminal element and want some freedom, you now know what to do.

I guess I'll have to be just as extreme as I've ever been. Time for my nap, lol.

I find method "2 of 3" discussed in http://www.wikihow.com/Activate-Windows-7 needs no Internet, only phone. That should solve your problem.

No comment on the activation of that particular calendar program. But I find the Windows Calendar program from Windows Vista runs without any activation in Windows 7. If you know somebody with that OS, you can just copy it to your Windows 7 PC via USB-stick, as discussed in http://www.intowindows.com/windows-calendar-for-windows-7/ (it even has a download link to download it onto your USB-stick if none of your friends has Windows Vista).
