mfr and look at the mobo pictures. You will never find a mobo with both AGP and PCI express 16 socket on them. It's one or the other.
There are a few different PCI Express slots. They come in 4X and 16x. The video slot is 16x and close to the same length as an AGP slot. The 4x slots are only about an inch long.
The PCI Ex bus runs at 100 MHz while the AGP was 64 MHz.
The Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 that I am instlling now, allows overclocking it to 150 MHz. [that doesn't mean that there are any cards out there that will run at that speed. Just an overclocker's tool.
Their website is giga-byte, someone beat them to gigabyte. LOL
I have been looking for sometime now but every time I google PCI express I always come up blank. The question I have is can anyone tell me what is the primary difference between an AGP & PCI express video cards.
I know how to find a AGP expansion slot but what I don?t know is what a PCI Express expansion slot looks like how do I identify one?
