question about password and fingerprint security

Oct 21, 2007 1:54AM PDT

Hi, I have a new toshiba p100 running vista and it has a nifty fingerprint reader for added security. It works fine but I was wondering if someone knew how to make it a security priority such that when the computer wakes from sleep or boots up it asks first for a fingerprint rather than a password. If I set a password it asks for that first irregardless and so doesn't save me anytime unlocking the laptop -- as the fingertip swipe is quick. However, if I remove the password then anyone can click on that security option when it wakes up and hit enter to bypass the fingerprint security. In short, I want to be able to make it so that it always asks for a fingerprint scan first and then a password. Any idea if it is possible to do this? I looked in all the security settings I could think of. Thanks, Ed
