Question about new housing for BB curve

by kurve_8330 / December 10, 2011 9:39 AM PST

So I'm looking to get a new housing for my bb curve 8330. But I'm wondering what the general consensus is, should you only stick with OEM replacement parts which tend to cost several times more than anonymous parts, or is it ok to get anonymous parts, as they can be equally good? Or is this truly a case of you get what you pay for?

I'm going to sell the phone, and don't want to sell a piece of garbage, otherwise I'd just go straight for the cheapest housing. Thanks.

Why not the stock parts and to keep the cost low, something off ebay?

What you mean by stock parts, you mean generic parts?

I've read some negative reviews of generic bb parts, but have done the same about original bb parts, so I'm therefore asking if it really matters based on others experience. Or, if it's really a case of where you get what you pay for. Sometimes cheap stuff is good, but I'm not sure in this case.

Some generic bb housing apparently looks and feels cheaper, or don't fit properly. But perhaps there is some generic bb housing available that's known for quality, and is affordable.

None here.

In the circles I run, not one person has replaced the housing. I can't guess why you would do this if you were going to sell the phone. It would add costs and make it harder to dump the phone.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
