"Question about Netbook"

by countmyblessings / March 21, 2010 10:52 PM PDT

My Sony laptop isn't working so I am thinking about getting a Netbook. I like the idea of having less strain on my shoulders and the smaller size PC. I already have an external DVD/CD burner and an external Hard drive. What's the best Netbook on the market? I am looking for good performance and good battery life. Is there any netbook that comes with the full Windows 7 program that does not expire (not a trial)?

As much money as a normal smaller laptop. You didn't reveal which old Sony you have so I can't tell if the slow netbooks would be acceptable.

I suggest you rethink this and no one I knows would use a netbook for long periods.

http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/sony-vaio-nr160e-w/4505-3121_7-32638069.html notes it's rather cheap feel. It might serve well on a desk where it is not taken out on the road but the failures are not unheard of when we travel daily with laptops.

I only know of the Panasonic Toughbooks that hold up well under such use.

Back to the netbook. You would be unhappy will almost all of these. I suggest a trip to the stores and look at the smaller laptops. Try newegg.com and their laptop section. Put in a small screen size.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
