impedence mismatch is the problem using all those speakers. You could fry the amp adding speakers to it read your owners manual stewee
I recieved a RCA 5 disk changer that came with 2 bass reflex speakers for christmas. I have multiple other speakers that I have collected over the years and I have them all wired up to the back. The back of this stereo only has 4 places for speaker wire, and the speakers that came with it fill up all the spots. I was previously connecting more wires to those wires and I had a total of 6 speakers wired up to it. The sound quality of the main speakers weakened, but I believe that is because the output was shared by multiple speakers. I want to know if this is bad for any of my electronics, whether it is the speakers or the stereo itself.
It's model number is RS2654. It has 300-watts of total system power. I believe that is all the info needed.
Just in case though here is a link that displays all the info: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4948018
I just unhooked all the speakers except for the main 2 that came with it and I am still getting the same good sound that came with them. Just want to make sure that I am not damaging anything by hooking up too many speakers. Thanks for reading and any and all help/advice is greatly appreciated.
