Question about MS Outlook?s placement of file attachments

Mar 1, 2005 7:57AM PST

Hi,

I have a question about MS Outlook?s placement of file attachments.

I use several computers and each one inserts a file differently in a mesage.

On one, it is inserted as a filename in the header box under the message subject.

On another, it is inserted as an icon wherever the cursor was placed in the body of the message.

On the third, it is inserted as an icon in a separate ?footer? area at the bottom of the message.

Can anyone please tell me why this happens, and how I can change the preferences so that I can choose where I want the file to appear in the message as an attachment?

Thank you Happy

Daniel

That is, Microsoft. I've seen this move about across versions of Outlook as well as when it's an HTML or plain text message.

I haven't tried to push this around so I'm only sharing that I see it too.

It depends upon the user's choice of email format (see Tools>Options, Mail Format)
