I don't have HD cable, first of all. I have a DVD recorder that lets me choose my TV aspect ratio - 4:3 letterbox, 4:3 pan & scan, and 16:9 wide. When I set my ratio to widescreen 16:9 on my HDTV, of course it stretches the image to fill it, so things are wider and shorter than they're supposed to be (unless I change my tv to show it as 4:3 and have it only use part of the tv). BUT if I set my recorder to 16:9 ratio, then would it record it right for my tv? Or is non-HD cable service just broadcast in 4:3 ratio?
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
