Hi danc2heaven...

I have ewido, and it always gets rid of everything. Anyway here is a link to an ewido forum that can help you.

http://www.wilderssecurity.com/index.php

Scroll down to the Offical ewido Support Forum.

You will have to register to post, only takes a couple minutes.

Hope this will help.
Have a Good New Year.

danc2heaven.. are you being prompted..

to remove what Ewido comes up with? And do you?

Another thought is.. if Ewido is finding tracking cookies and you are going back to the same sites you got them in the first place prior to your next scan.. Ewido will pick them up again. Make any sense?? Maybe someone else can explain this more clearly. Happy

Just a thought..

exactly what i do is
Jan 1, 2006 6:05AM PST

open ewido trial version click on scanner lets say i do a fast system scan,, it starts by checking the registry and then the siren pops up and ask what i should do it is highlighted to remove objects and i also check the do this to all infections box, when the scan is finished i will see the total infected objects followed by the same number in green of cleaned infections ,, i also go to the quarantine and delete the items in there with the remove finally. thinking that it has solved the problem i can do a restart on my computer and run the same program only to have the same things show up as infected files,, most are listed in hklm/system/ section and the windows/system32 section of my computer . how do i remove these,, thanks

What is your Operating System?...
Jan 1, 2006 6:25AM PST

I see no mention of it as requested when starting a discussion. If you are using XP have you considered that these varmits may be captured in System Restore. If so you may want to consider clearing system restore by disabling it... this clears all restore points. Be sure to re-enable after that is done.

Just a thought and hope it helps!
