Question about Auction Software and Creating User Profiles

Sep 30, 2005 1:32PM PDT

Hi,

I'm interested in starting my own internet auction business. Does anyone know the name of a good auction software and where I could find it? I'm not interested in running auctions through eBay.

I'm also having trouble finding software that will create user profiles for another site I'm interested in creating.

Any guidance would be appreciated. I know there are a lot of different opinons.

Thanks,

Dan

Are you a software author?

Do you write in C, PHP, Perl or other languages?

If not, back to ebay you go.

Just need to know the best software packages

No, I'm not a programmer - but I know there are software packages available (they just need to be integrated into the website) and I know a couple computer scientists who could do this free of charge.

What are my options?

The problem is..

What I'm familiar with requires a bit of programming background. Otherwise the auctioneer and site fails.

Here's a pile of such scripts for you to start with.
