The choices they made in trade for security are odd. Usually security wins. Given the non-open nature of Samsung's code base, only they can answer and they may not know or tell all.

I was looking at my samsung smart tv's audio settings when an unknown screen mirroring request notification popped up on the tv. I denied the request but I was concerned. I searched the model number of the device and found it was a galaxy tablet. So my question is does somebody have to be on my home network with their device to perform screen mirroring with my tv? Or does screen mirroring not require a connection to a home network?
