Question

question about 4k tv connected to PC.

Aug 26, 2018 7:13AM PDT

So i have a acer predator g3610 with intel core i3 2100, AMD Radeon HD 6570. I think it only runs 1080p.
I bought a 4k tv. When i connect the tv there is a glitch on the screen no matter what i run. I'm wondering if i need to buy an aditional video card or what i have to do to run the tv?
I'm not looking to play games on the tv. I just wan't to watch video.

You are right.

That amount of CPU and GPU power is going to only allow static pictures at 4K if the video driver allows it.
Since this is a desktop, a better GPU could be fitted. But gaming at 4K would tax the i3 and require the usual Nvidia 1080 GPU.

As to the glitch at 1080, did you use the drivers from Acer?

Is it possible to have two graphics cards ? also the glitch is like this: there is a line about 1/3 down the screen were its sort of split. i was thinking it had to do with the size.
i think my drivers are updated.
