Question about 2 programs trying to get past ZA?

Apr 24, 2004 12:51AM PDT

I keep getting these two popups asking for access, one is XA update application, the other is Motive System. I keep clicking no because ZA don't recognize them and I don't have a clue as to what they are. Does anyone know? Should I give them access?
Thanks!
Larry

Larry,

The "XAUpdate" program is "Panicware's Pop Up Killer" automatic update program. Apparently, you have installed this program it's simply trying to update itself. Disable the autoupdates by following procedures at the link below:

I keep getting a notice that XAUpdate.exe is trying to access the Internet

And for Motive System, does the link below explain it correctly? It would sure help if we knew the exact file name that's trying to access the net.

AskMarvin! Forums -> Motive System?

Hope this helps.

Grif

Thank you. Yes I have the Panicware popup killer and Yahoo popup killer. I also have Norton (which came with the computer, but I renewed it after the 90day trial) also AVG Free and ZA Free.
Thanks Again

The next time the Motive System comes up I will get more information on it and send it along.

I think it could be a Microsoft Support update feature,I wrote to them the other day about a Redial problem (which is below in the forum) but never recieved an answer.
Thanks
