question

While on my computer on a site I start hearing talking and music all mixed together. I hit control, alt, delete and it shows the site I'm on and auto updates from HP, nothing else. Where is the noise coming from. Thanks for any help I need it.

CTRL + Alt + Delete only brings up the Task Manager, (in Windows XP), so I'm not sure what you mean where you say it shows the site you are on. I can see that in the Applications tab of Task Manager the browser is listed with which web sites. is that what you mean?

A test:

What happens when you close the browser down? Do the sounds cease?

What happens before you open the browser to start surfing the internet? Do you hear these sounds before you open the browser?

question

Maybe I wasn't so clear. I go on the internet and go to a knife forum. While viewing a thread I start hearing garbled music and voices like a commercial. So I get the task manager to see whats running on the comp. It shows the knife site and updates from hp running. When I close the browser the sounds stop. The sounds also stop while I'm on the site. No sounds at any other time.
