I don't remember ever hearing of an untra-compact digital camera with a remote control.
They usually only make remotes for advanced cameras, and those cameras are not compact.
If you are wanting something like a cable release similar to the ones on 35mm cameras, there are some universal devices available.
They strap onto the camera or have a bracket that attaches to the tripod socket on the camera. They have a bit of a Rube Goldburg appearance.

Hello,
I'm new to Cnet and to digital cameras. I need a camera for family photos and for work in archives (I'm a historian). I'd love to find an untra-compact that we can carry everywhere, but for archive work I also need a remote-control. I've been searching on the site for some time but have yet to find a reliable camera that fits both of these needs. Can anyone suggest something? Thank you!
