Quad or Dual

I'm looking at the following in a laptop:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-720QM Processor (1.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 1333MHz FSB)

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P7450 (2.13GHz, 3 MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB)

which would be faster for Picture editing and some games

the laptop would have 4 G ram too.

Right now probably about the same

speed but in the future when software is tuned for quad cores it will be faster.
