QL-500 Printer software for 98SE

Oct 7, 2007 2:13AM PDT

I just bought a new Brother QL-500 Label Printer, widely advertised
as compatible with 98SE, but now find that Brother has discontinued support for my antiquated OS. Websearches invariably end at a link to
Brother Support site, which, of course, does not provide the software.
XP drivers on the CD do not install on 98SE system. Any advice until I eventually am forced to upgrade to XP?

Since it was noted for 98se and when you bought it, it didn't come with that just pack and return it.

Thank you, Bob, for your prompt response - you have helped me tremendously in the past and I always appreciate reading your "concise
and precise advice" to those of us who can learn and benefit from same.

Since I bought the item on sale at OfficeMax for $49.99,I prefer to
just wait for my inevitable XP upgrade if I'm unable to locate a source or a workaround for the short term.
