Question

PXE-MOF not solved

Aug 25, 2018 8:41AM PDT

I tried to start my lap but it would say

"Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 083)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.1.1.2(09/06/12)

Check cable connection!
PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key"

...so when browsed it was implied that my hard disk would be faulty. I bought a new HDD and installed it properly. But the problem still persist. So I went into BIOS and changed everything to default. And I changed the boot to UEFI. And the order of boot device was
1.HDD(and harddisk is detected)
2.CDROM
3.USB
3.LAN

Any help?? Thoughts??

Installing a new HDD has more steps than

Installing a new HDD. I didn't read where you installed an OS after you put in the new HDD.

PS. PXE messages are not an error to be fixed.

PXE boot messages are informational and not an error to be fixed.

When a PC boots, there are checks to see what it can boot from and in what order. The real error is the no bootable device and not the PXE message.
