Putting program list in alphabetical order

When I go Start>Programs, the programs seem to be listed in no certain order than I can see. Is there some way to cause the list to be alphabetical? Thanks, grandpaw

Hi well one way I know of is to click and hold the mouse button and drag the program shortcut to it's correct spot.

Start, Programs, right click, Sort by name.

I am sure windows has a way to auto do that.(never gone looking)

I just drag the entries to the position I want.

In my case most used at the top and least used at the bottom.

I suppose I could drag them into alphabetical order.

I've gone as Coryphaeus suggested and gotten them in alphabetical order. Being lazy, that suits me better than the dragging route. grandpaw

You can also index each folder and sub-folder, and your Favorites in IE the same way.
