Putting pictures on DVD's

I want to store my pictures on DVD's instead of CD's. On CD's I only can get about 700MB of picts, while on a DVD it says the storage is about 4GB. Can I get 4GB of pictures on a DVD? Is there something different I have to do to do this? I have the basic Nero software that came with the burner. I tried to burn to a DVD, but it said that I had only 700MB of space, even though I had a blank DVD in. THanks for any info Skip

If it were able to burn DVDs, I'm pretty sure Nero would do it.
