Often times, the video card drivers have been updated since their initial release. That's always a good idea to do anyway, but in this case, may help solve this issue.
You also want to make sure that your overscan is turned to 0% on the Catalyst drivers.

I have 2 Samsung DLP televisions. Model numbers are: HL-T6187S and HL-T5687S. I am connecting a PC to each of the TVs and in both cases, I want to use the HDMI port. Both computers are home built using ASUS M2A-VM HDMI motherboards.
My issue is that when I use the HDMI port, sometimes during the setup of Windows XP Media Center, the options for screen sizing in the TV menu shows PC Wide. While in this mode, I can stretch the picture across the complete screen which is perfect however, when the computer reboots, the TV will no longer give me the PC menu for adjusting the display. It offers the generic 16:9, 4:3, Wide ? menu. The picture does not reach the ends of the display and it looks like it has a pin cushion effect.
If I install the Catalyst software from ATI, it will boot and I get the PC menu but my picture is purple. It looks like you?re looking through a purple glass. The picture also is shrunk around all sides of the TV but the purple stretches across the complete screen. I have tried a few different HDMI cables and all yield the same result. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
